What is Clean Air Day?
Held on Wednesday October 7, 2026, Clean Air Day is designed to raise awareness about air quality, the effects of pollution, and how our daily choices, like how we get to school, impact the environment.

What is Walk & Roll to School Day?
Held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, National Walk & Roll to School Day is a nationwide event that encourages students, families, and staff to walk, bike, or roll (skateboard, scooter, wheelchair, etc.) to school. It's an opportunity to:

* Promote physical activity
* Reduce traffic congestion around schools
* Increase awareness of pedestrian safety
* Support environmental sustainability

LAUSD is encouraging schools to participate in Clean Air Day by educating their school community via a weeklong campaign commencing on Clear air Day and ending with Walk & Roll to School Day.

Goals of the Week

* Educate students about the connection between transportation, air quality, and health.
* Empower families to make greener travel choices.
* Encourage schoolwide participation in Walk & Roll to School Day.
* Engage students through fun, educational activities and school spirit.
